SEDONA, ARIZONA - VERDE CANYON RAILROAD

Today we took a 4 hour round trip ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad, which leaves from Clarksdale about 20 miles southwest of Sedona.  The train winds it's way along the Verde river, which of course created  the canyon.  Parts of the river are extremely fertile and very pretty in contrast to the desert just a short way away from the river.  There are also some high cliffs along the route.  They offer coach and 1st Class passage.  We chose 1st Class because we got the tickets for free by going to a timeshare presentation (no, we did not buy anything).  As you can see, they have open cars you can go out on to take pictures.  It was a very nice ride.
