Moab sits right on the Colorado river, which is one of the leading rivers in the US for whitewater rafting and kayaking. They offer float tirps with any degree of difficulty that you are willing to take on for yourself. Janie and I have done rafting before but decided it would be fun to do it here also. Not far out of town, the Colorado river flows through a gorgeous canyon and so that's where we went. We chose a 4 hour trip and the whitewater was fairly mild. We had lunch on a sandbar in the river. It was a wonderful day on the river and lots of fun.
Oh, by the way, it's really difficult to take pictures when you're whitewater rafting so the picture shown is not us. It just represents the day we spent on the water! We also were in a two person, inflatable kayak. That's about where the similarity ends!
