As you travel from Flagstaff to Page, you cross over a small mountain just before you get to Page and you are given a tremendous view of the desert just west of the end of Lake Powell where the Colorado river starts it's journey into the Grand Canyon. As you can see in the pictures, as the water moves it creates it's valleys and canyons through the desert. I think it's amazing and beautiful.
This picture is taken back toward Flagstaff (south) and is meant just to show the vastness of the desert area in this part of the country. It's also very pretty, in it's own kind of way. This is the land we "gave" to the indians!!
